Bowling for Rhinos

Thanks for a great event!

The rhinos of the world are in a special predicament. The number of rhinos lost each year to poaching is steadily increasing due to the high demand in parts of China and Vietnam. The good news is that you can help! All you have to do is bowl! Get a team together and start planning for next year’s event!

The proceeds from Bowling for Rhinos are donated directly to Lewa Wildlife Conservancy and Action for Cheetahs in Kenya, Ujung Kulon National Park in Java, Indonesia and Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park and Way Kambas National Park in Sumatra, Indonesia. Not only will conservation in these three areas help rhinos, it will also help a whole host of other animals, such as Sumatran tigers and Malayan sun bears.

LWC (formerly Ngare Sergoi Sanctuary) is a 65,000-acre protected area that is home to the endangered black and white rhinos. Ujung Kulon is a 300-square-mile protected area that is home to the last 47 Javan rhinos in the world! BBSNP is 3,568 square kilometers of lush tropical rain forest where the Sumatran rhinos live, along with elephant, tiger, and Malayan sun bear. All three support an entire ecosystem, including some of the world’s most endangered plants and animals. To date, the local event has raised about $150,000 to support these conservation efforts.

Tailgating for Tigers
Look for 2021 details coming soon!

Tailgaters enjoyed a night of food, drinks, games and community to benefit this cause for paws! We partnered with Metazoa Brewing Company for Tailgaiting for Tigers for another spectacular year in 2017. By playing tailgating games, eating delicious food, drinking local beer and listening to some great music at our event, you support the SaveTigersNow.org campaign of the World Wildlife Fund.

Proceeds from Tailgating for Tigers helps protect the five remaining endangered tiger subspecies. SaveTigersNow.org focuses on saving tigers across their habitat through anti-poaching efforts, gaining support from governments to protect and connect tiger habitat, and clamping down on illegal tiger trade. With your support, we can protect tigers and their habitat for future generations to enjoy!
