Guests can charge their electric vehicles at one of two stations in the Zoo’s parking lot. Cars can be charged for a nominal fee for up to eight hours.
Electric cars are among the most effective ways to reduce carbon emissions. Beyond producing fewer greenhouse gases, other advantages of these vehicles include lower cost, maintenance and the trend to use recycled materials in production.
The Zoo is able to offer the recharging stations thanks to AES Indiana’s Electric Vehicle Charging Program.
