Celebrate the Champion Live With Us!

The Uproar Conservation Challenge presented by T-Fiber will culminate on Saturday, April 4 at a Celebration for Conservation event at the Zoo, with music, games, local sports mascots and a live announcement of the champion species. The event is free for Zoo members and included with admission.

The Celebration Line Up

  • Noon: Event begins. Games include basketball, corn hole, bucket toss and more. Enjoy special animal encounters and specialty food and drink.
  • Noon-1:30pm: Meet UIndy Grady Greyhound
  • 12:30-1:30pm: Meet Indy Fuel’s Nitro and Fishers Freight Bandit
  • 1-1:30pm: Meet Indiana Pacers’ Boomer and Indiana Fever’s Freddy Fever
  • 1-2pm: Meet Indianapolis Indians’ Rowdie
  • 1:30-3pm: Meet Indy Ignite’s Pepper and IU Indy Jazzy
  • 2-3pm: Live announcement of winning species, emceed by Kristi Lee & WTHR meteorologist Matt Standridge
  • 5pm: Event concludes. Zoo closes

Final Round Species Face Off

Who do you think will win in the matchup for the final grand prize of $10,000.

Uproar for Species Survival is a new initiative of the Global Center for Species Survival at the Indianapolis Zoo and the IUCN Species Survival Commission to spark curiosity, inspire learning and mobilize action for the planet’s most vulnerable species. This challenge showcases a variety of lesser-known species—and the conservation groups dedicated to their protection—in a fun, interactive match-up to determine how the prize money will be split between all of the participating groups.
