The Indy Zoo Council is comprised of emerging leaders from Central Indiana who are dedicated to aiding and supporting the Zoo’s mission of advancing animal conservation while also working to make an impact in our community.
We provide our membership with the opportunity to have a meaningful impact on the success of the Indianapolis Zoo through active participation in fundraising, educational and volunteer activities. The Council’s signature annual event is Zoolala. Additionally, we foster a community of emerging leaders who share a passion to make a meaningful difference locally and globally. Zoolala is the Council’s annual fundraising event, attended by emerging and aspiring leaders from across Central Indiana. This unforgettable event includes music, dancing, fabulous food, fun and philanthropy, all to be held on the Indianapolis Zoo grounds inside the White River Gardens Hulman Riverhouse.
Since 2013 the Indy Zoo Council has hosted this lavish evening as an opportunity for 500-plus young professionals to network and engage in a fun social setting while also supporting the Zoo's animal conservation efforts. In its first three years, Zoolala has raised over $100,000 to fund animal care and programs at the Indianapolis Zoo.
