Parking

Zoo members can enjoy free parking each time they visit the Zoo. Parking for non-members is $7 for regular vehicles and $15 for large vehicles, including RVs and campers. Parking at the Indianapolis Zoo is available on a first-come, first-served basis. On busy days, additional parking opportunities may be available at White River State Park and IUPUI (denoted on the map above). Please note: Additional parking fees may apply.

The Zoo is also an option for parking during special events in White River State Park and throughout downtown Indianapolis. Non-Zoo special events parking is $7 for members and $10 for non-members.

We recommend that guests stow items out of sight and lock vehicles at all times. The Zoo is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

New Weekend Zoo Shuttle Service Begins This Summer

The Simon Skjodt International Orangutan Center will attract global attention for Indiana and is anticipated to draw record-breaking crowds to the Indianapolis Zoo. We want to make sure your experience at the Center is amazing, and with that in mind we want to provide our guests with the opportunity to avoid the hassle of finding a weekend parking spot.

Free parking will be available on weekends only for guests at the Vermont Street Garage. A Zoo Shuttle will depart every 25 minutes and will run until 8pm.

Simply take a seat and be whisked away on a short trip toward wondrous animal adventures. When you’ve had your fill of our furry and feathered friends just pick up the Zoo Shuttle where you were dropped off – look for the sign just past the gift shop to the right of the Zoo’s exit.

Don’t forget when you board the return shuttle to grab your parking voucher from the attendant for free weekend parking!

Check out the map below for the location of the garage, the weekend Shuttle route and walking paths.
