Family and Youth Experiences
Go behind the scenes to meet one of our amazing animal artists! For your adventure, choose from dolphin, elephant, penguin, pinniped, reptile or rhino.
Step into the world of dolphins with this unforgettable experience! You'll get to learn more about these amazing marine mammals before actually getting in the water with our dolphin pod.
There's always something new to discover at the Zoo, no matter what your age! Our adult education programs offer the young-at-heart an opportunity to explore their curiosity about the natural world.
Snooze at the Zoo with the entire family! Our Family Overnights run three times a year and are a great way to spend a little quality time together all while experiencing the Zoo after hours.
Join us for a fun preschool program to learn more about one of our Zoo animals. Each program includes hands-on activities, animal artifacts, a Zoo walk, and story and/or craft.
Discover amazing animal science at the Zoo! With our Saturday Science programs, children will explore and investigate the Zoo using science to learn more about some of the Zoo's incredible creatures.

School and Scout Experiences
Bring your school to the Zoo! Every year, thousands of students from throughout Indiana take field trips to the Indianapolis Zoo where school groups learn more about conservation and animals from around the world.
Enter a world long kept in the dark — the Zoo at night! Our Overnight Programs will show you what most Zoo visitors only imagine. With several options to choose, the Zoo offers Overnight programs for schools and Girl Scouts.
The Indianapolis Zoo wishes to inspire and engage Indiana Schools to take part in local conservation projects through Project Based Learning and Service Learning projects.
Share a part of the Zoo with your class! Our educational suitcases give your students hands-on activities focusing on animals here at the Zoo and around the world. Kits include a teacher's manual and props like books, artifacts, posters and activities.
We have fun and education programs for school groups and scout troops! School groups can join us for a 45-minute workshops and scouts can collect experiences to help them in reaching thir scouting goals.
