Hispanic Heritage Fiesta presented by Indiana Donor Network

Sept. 17 • Noon-4pm

Join us to celebrate the culture and traditions of Latin America during our ninth-annual Hispanic Heritage Fiesta presented by Indiana Donor Network. The atmosphere of the Zoo will transform into a street fair, with lots of vibrant colors, activities and entertainment, all with a Hispanic flair!

Hispanic Heritage Fiesta coincides with National Hispanic Heritage Month, which officially runs Sept. 15 through Oct. 15 each year to celebrate Latin culture during the independence period for the Latin American countries of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.

This event is a great way to enhance a Zoo visit! Hispanic Heritage Fiesta includes extra festivities that celebrate Hispanic culture with an animal scavenger hunt, piñatas, community partners and colorful decorations! Guests can dance to the rhythms of Latin America plus make crafts that are rooted in tradition and wildly fun for all ages.

A specailty food station will be available, featuring delicious snacks, entrees and desserts inspired by the flavors of Latin America. Enjoy chips and salsa, guacamole, tamales, street tacos, churros and more.

Hispanic Heritage Fiesta is included with regular Zoo admission and free for Zoo members. Save $2 on general admission for up to four guests by showing you are an organ donaor on your driver's license at our Entry Plaza.
