​Animals and All That Jazz

​​​July 6, 13, 20, 27; Aug. 3 • 5:30-8:30pm • Bicentennial Pavilion

This Thursday night tradition returns for the 30th year in a big way!  Animals & All That Jazz will be moving under the all-new Bicentennial Pavilion to offer more space to eat, drink, sit back or dance.  This summer concert series features sensational music from all genres of jazz. 

Come play early at the Zoo and stay late for a night of jazz with music beginning at 5:30pm! Walk the Zoo while listening to the music or stay in closer near the stage. Best of all, experience the ambience of the Zoo after hours along with:

  • Music: Performed live from 5:30-8:30pm

  • Food: Great specialty food stations feature a new menu for purchase each night

  • Beverages: A full bar, featuring beer sampling for those 21 years and older

  • Animals: On exhibit until 7pm

  • Rides: Available until 7pm.  Zoo Members: Ride tickets are only $1 per ride from 5-7pm​

July 6Rob Dixon​Come out for an incredible night of Jazz performed by Rob Dixon, member of the Indianapolis Jazz Hall of Fame!  "Opa!" themed food stations.

July 13: AppalatinYou won't want to miss this combination of Appalachian folk and Latin American music. It's the perfect mix of entertainment and fun that's sure to keep you dancing! "Southern Comfort" themed food stations.

July 20: Cowbell Jazz featuring Yvonne AlluCowbell Jazz featuring the soulful and rich vocals of Yvonne Allu offers a powerful array of music from jazz, funk and pop that will leave you wanting more.  "Tex-Mex" themed food stations.  

Main Station: Build-Your-Own Burrito or Burrito Bowl

Dessert Station: Churros
Beer Sampling: Metazoa Brewing Co.

July 27: West Central QuartetWest Central Quartet returns with a fantastic blend of traditional jazz sound mixed with other musical styles for a fun and unique Jazz performance.  "Taste of Italy" themed food stations.

Dessert Station: Cheesecake
Beer Sampling: Sun King Brewing

Aug. 3: Mark Buselli’s BSU Gatos​Mark Buselli's BSU Gatos offer a one-of-a-kind blend of big band and Latin jazz music that is sure to keep your toes tapping.  "Sizzling Fajitas" themed food stations.

Dessert Station: Sopapillas
Beer Sampling: TwoDeep Brewing


​Concerts are weather protected under the Zoo's beautiful all-new Bicentennial Pavilion. Tables are open on a first-come, first-serve basis.
