The Thursday night tradition is returning for its 33rd year!

Animals and All That Jazz will be under the Bicentennial Pavilion again this year to offer plenty of space to eat, drink or kick back and relax! This summer concert series features sensational music from several genres of jazz music and a variety of artists.

Come play early at the Zoo and stay late for a night of live jazz music! And, enjoy the ambiance of the Zoo after-hours along with:

  • Live music from 5:30-8:30pm
  • Specialty food that features a delicious new menu for purchase each night
  • A full bar for those 21 years and older provided by Zink Distributing, official beer provider, and Hotel Tango Distillery, official cocktail provider
  • Animals on exhibit until 7pm

In accordance with the Zoo’s current guidelines, all tickets must be purchased and reserved in advance. For additional details regarding the Zoo’s guidelines, please view our 2020 Reopening Plan.

For the safety of our guests, this will be a standing room only concert. Guests are allowed to bring their own chairs but are still encouraged to observe social distancing.

  • July 4 — Mid Coast Swing Orchestra

    Enjoy an evening focused on authentic swing music from the 30’s and 40’s.

    Featured menu item: Burgers & bratwursts with all of the fixings, served with a side of fries

    Evening Emcee: Paul Mendenhall of WTTS FM

  • July 9 — West Central Quintet

    Get ready for a high energy performance and a spin on new hits with a jazzy twist.

    Featured menu item: BBQ pulled pork sandwich topped with pickles and yellow onions, served with kettle chips and a watermelon wedge

    Evening Emcee: Patty Spitler of WISH-TV

  • July 16 — Charlie Ballantine Quintet

    Prepare for a smooth mix of jazz, folk, and rock with this 5-piece powerhouse.

    Featured menu item: Philly cheesesteak on a hoagie bun with peppers, onions, and cheese sauce, served with beer-battered sidewinders

    Evening Emcee: Chuck Lofton, meteorologist for WTHR 13

  • July 23 — Cowbell Jazz

    Come out for a night to kick back to smooth jazz stylings featuring rich and soulful vocals.

    Featured menu item: Burgers & bratwursts with all of the fixings, served with a side of fries

  • July 30 — Julie Houston with Swing into Rio

    Enjoy a fantastic final evening of the Zoo summer concert series with wonderful Jazz-style tunes!

    Featured menu item: Beer battered Atlantic cod served with coleslaw, crispy fries, and a malt vinegar aioli
