Join us as we celebrate the women making incredible contributions in the field of animal conservation. Hear from female scientists whose dedication and passion are helping to save species across the globe, including right here in Indiana.

Limited drinks and finger foods will be served.

The panel includes:

2021 Indianapolis Prize Winner, Dr. Amanda Vincent

Dr. Amanda Vincent was the first person to study seahorses underwater, the first to document the extensive trade in these fishes and the first to initiate a seahorse conservation project. To learn more about Dr. Vincent, read her bio.

Ocean activist and science communicatorDanni Washington

Danni Washington is an activist, blogger and science communicator who campaigns for cleaner, plastic-free oceans. To learn more about Danni, read her bio.

Indianapolis Zoo Veterinarian, Dr. Michelle Bowman

Dr. Michelle Bowman is a Zoo veterinarian who participates in a wide variety of conservation programs, including providing care the Eastern hellbenders in the Indianapolis Zoo’s head start program. To learn more about Dr. Bowman, read her bio.

Butler University Biology Professor, Dr. Carmen Salsbury
