Jump, bounce, leap and hop to the Zoo on Easter Sunday to enjoy a great spring day and a few Easter-themed activities during our second-annual Easter at the Zoo!
We'll put the spotlight on our Zoo babies and other new arrivals, and you can learn more about these animal youngsters during our special animal keeper chats. Then join in the fun of our "wild" non-traditional Easter egg hunt. There's no basket required, just find 10 of the 19 Zoo-themed egg signs hidden throughout the Zoo and White River Gardens and you'll receive a special Zoo prize before you leave.
When the family is ready for a snack, stop by Café on the Commons for festive, tasty treat. Be sure to bring your camera to snap a nice family photo at our special Easter-themed photo opportunity on the main path outside of Forests.
Before you leave, make sure to check out White River Gardens and the return of Butterfly Kaleidoscope presented by Citizens Energy Group. This beloved show in the Hilbert Conservatory features free-flying, exotic butterflies as bright and colorful as a true Easter egg.
The special chats schedule for the day includes:10:00pm Flamingo Mingle (Encounters). Visit flamingos at their exhibit and learn how we care for them directly from the keeper.
10:30pm Dolphin Show (Marsh Dolphin Theater). Get your ticket in the Entry Plaza.
1:30pm Brown Bear Chat (Forests). Meet two orphaned Brown Bear cubs that have grown up
here before our eyes.
2pm Elephant Easter Egg Hunt (Plains). Watch as the herd, led by 2-year old Kalina and 1-year old Nyah, hunt for treats.
2pm Meerkat Chat (Deserts). Meet the mob in the recently re-opened Deserts building.
