New! Family Science & Nature
Birds — Feb. 10, 2018 • 9-11:30am
Cost: $12 for Zoo member, $15 for non-member
Looking for a way for the family to enjoy nature and learning together? Join us on select Saturdays for our new Family Science & Nature program.
Learn to identify birds in the area from parks to backyards. See how you and your family can get involved with counting birds for science. Rob Ripma, co-owner of Sabrewing Nature Tours and president of the Board of the Amos Butler Audubon Society in Indianapolis, along with Zoo staff will lead you on this family experience. Take home ideas for attracting and identifying birds.
The program includes some walking as well as indoor and outdoor activities, so dress to accommodate for both. Program recommended for 9 years and older. Participants under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a paid adult.
Spaces are limited, and registration is required.
