Animal Art Adventure

Go behind the scenes to meet one of our amazing animal artists, like a rhino Renoir, a penguin Picasso, an elephant Escher and more! You and up to three additional guests can watch as your favorite furry friend creates a painting just for you! With six different adventures to choose from, there is a special experience for every animal lover!

Dolphin In-Water Adventure

Wonder what it's like to get into the water with a dolphin? The Indianapolis Zoo is the only place in the Midwest where you can! During this awe-inspiring experience, you’ll learn about these incredible marine mammals and conservation efforts to preserve them in the wild before enjoying an unforgettable close encounter with our pod! These amazing adventures must be reserved in advance and include up to eight participants.

Adult Programs

There's always something new to discover at the Zoo, no matter what your age! ​​Our adult education programs offer the young-at-heart an opportunity to explore their curiosity about the natural world. 

Family Programs

Snooze at the Zoo with the entire family! Our Family Overnights run three times a year and are a great way to spend a little quality time together all while experiencing the Zoo after hours. Or Join us for a Members’ Only Backyard Family Barbeque. Enjoy a BBQ dinner, explore the New Family Nature Center, take part in games and hands-on activities, and with the help of the Indiana Wildlife Federation, learn how you can make your backyard a habitat for Indiana wildlife.

Preschool Programs

Join us for a fun preschool program to learn more about one of our Zoo animals. Each program includes hands-on activities, animal artifacts, a Zoo walk, and story and/or craft.

Youth Programs​

Discover amazing animal science at the Zoo! With our Saturday Science programs, children will explore and investigate the Zoo using science to learn more about some of the Zoo's incredible creatures.

​Zoo Camps​

Zoo Explorer Camps (held during school breaks)

Interested in zoo careers? Join us for one of these two- or three-day camps, where participants learn more about how to care for and work with Zoo animals. 

Summer Camps

Looking for a way to get a more in-depth experience at the Zoo? Try out one of our summer camps!  Participants can look forward to tours of the Zoo and Gardens, games, songs, creative craft projects, animal shows and more.
