Donor memberships of $300 or more are tax deductible less the value of the membership ($165). Members at the donor level enjoy membership to the Zoo and White River Gardens for their family and four guests, as well as special donor benefits.

Lowell Nussbaum Society

Journalist Lowell B. Nussbaum was not satisfied to simply imagine a zoo in Indianapolis. He helped found the Zoological Society on October 24, 1944. For the next eleven years he helped plan the future of the Zoo. The Indianapolis Zoo has named its donor society in Mr. Lowell Nussbaum's honor and it recognizes supporters who make an annual gift of $1,250 or more. The vision of Mr. Nussbaum and the founders of our Zoo lives on today through our friends who help make the dream a reality with generous financial support.
