Seal, Sea Lion, or Walrus Art

Can
you name our fin-footed friends? They are scientifically known
as pinnipeds — coming from the Latin words "pinna" meaning "fin"
and "pedis" meaning "foot." We have three animals in the pinniped family, including our seals, sea lions, and walrus.
A Pinniped Art Adventure will take you and three guests (up to
four total participants) behind the scenes to meet one of our
animal artists that will create a painting just for you to take
home. Participants will meet a seal, sea lion or walrus, and learn about some of
things that make them unique in the group and help choose the
color palette for the painting. (Please note that one of the
three will be chosen for your adventure — not all three. Also,
we do not accept special requests for the pinniped used.)
Reserve your adventure by calling Adventure Line at (317) 630-2076. Participants will meet an Adventure Guide in the Hix
Institute who will guide them on
this adventure. Start time is 12:30pm.
Cost for the Pinniped Art Adventure is $250.
• Participants of an Animal Art Adventure must be at least
6
years old. If a participant is under the age of 14 years they
must be accompanied by a paid adult participant.
• Participants of an Animal Art Adventure must have a signed
Waiver of Liability before beginning the Adventure. Participants
under the age of 18 years will need this waiver signed by a
parent or guardian.
• If someone in the group has a special need or mobility issue,
please contact us in advance so that we can better accommodate
the need.
