Have you ever wanted to spend the night at the Zoo and learn
something too? The Indianapolis Zoo offers three distinct
overnight programs plus a family adventure as well! Get
into all the details about the Indianapolis Zoo's animal
conservation mission and how you can help!
Our Nocturnal Adventures help teach Science curriculum in a
way like no other! Come join us on one of our thematic evenings
- choose between Habitat Junction, Adaptation Station, or
Conservation Connection to help assist you teach these concepts
to your class!*
Our Bunk for a Badge program is just for Brownie and Junior
Scouts and allows them to earn a badge during the night's
activities. We offer four Brownie badges and two Junior badges.
For summer ONLY! This Safari will tour you through the Plains
at night and take you Behind the Scenes to the Zoo Commissary.*
For summer ONLY! Become a Nature Detective
while discovering the Zoo’s wildlife. Explore the Zoo’s Gardens
on a sensory walk to discover nature. Visit the Zoo’s bat
exhibit and learn why bats are an important part of an
ecosystem. Take a night hike in the Desert Dome and learn about
a variety of nature’s adaptations.

A family overnight at the Zoo is a perfect way to spend some
quality time together! Spend the night at the Zoo and
participate in a variety of activities designed just for
families including a craft, family game time,
and a special after hours tour.
Participants must be at least six
years old to participate in any overnight
program.
*Recommended for third-grade students and older, including
schools, Scout groups, church groups, day care centers, 4-H
groups and adults.
