A record number of visitors came to enjoy the beauty and magic of the holiday
season during the 44th year of Christmas at the Zoo
presented by Donatos
and
Teachers
Credit Union.
Despite 17 days of below-freezing temperatures and a
major snowstorm, attendance for the event reached
105,300, surpassing the previous record of 101,700
guests set in 2011. Thanks to everyone who came out
to help make this another spectacular year for
Christmas at the Zoo!
 Dating back to 1967, the
Indianapolis Zoo was the first zoo in the United
States to hold a holiday lights event, and since
then, Christmas at the Zoo has become known for its
spectacular holiday lights and displays. This year
was no exception! Guests could visit animals that love cooler weather, walk the Zoo
grounds covered in lights and enjoy holiday cheer. Christmas
at the Zoo is a great place to make holiday

admission.
Receive $1.00 off admission with each donation of a new hat,
scarf or gloves to neighboring St. Mary’s Children Center,
