Field Trips

All field trips to the  Indianapolis Zoo and White River Gardens require reservations at least two weeks in advance of the visit date. 

Field trip rate eligibility requirements:

•  Group visiting must have at least 15 people total.
•  Group must be part of a school that is currently in session. 
•  Preschools must have a teacher on staff that has a valid teaching license. (CDAs do not qualify).

The school group rate does not apply to day cares, weekend visits, summer day care for school-aged children or summer camps.

All field trip reservations must be made online. Please read the Field Trip Reservation Instructions before continuing to registration.

April and May are our busiest months for field trips. During this time we appreciate your patience as new account requests may take 2-3 business days to process.

Holiday Hours

During Christmas at the Zoo, Zoo operating hours change to 12-9pm. The event dates vary from year to year — check the operating hours for specifics. We can only give school group rates if your group leaves by 5pm.
